Build Team

The Supers started off small with a dedicated group of talented people making costumes by hand for our very first event in the summer of 2009. The First Annual Superhero Photo Shoot featured characters from the original Justice League: Batman, Superman, Green Arrow, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Atom, Hawkgirl, The Flash, and Green Lantern.

Over the years, we’ve connected with hundreds of cosplayers, costume designers, and propmakers from all over the world. They provide us with so many assets, either donated or discounted, such as base costumes, raw materials, partially completed or damaged projects, raw 3D prints, and many other resources for our Supers projects.

We’re always on the lookout for creative minds to help us with projects and there’s always something to work on in the Supers build room. Like building costume components from materials like EVA foam or Worbla. Or sanding and painting 3D projects that we’ve either printed ourselves or received from one of our partners. There’s always lots of sewing that needs to be done for either new costumes or repairs

Not all superheroes wear capes, so if you’ve got a creative spirit and a desire to help bring comic superheroes into the lives of those who need them, we want to hear from you!
